96% OF JANUARY ROOFING ORDERS SHIPPED ON TIME

We take our position as the leading importer of roofing nails seriously, and we shipped almost all nail containers on time, spared no cost, had to use “Premium Freight” to accomplish this, but we met our goals and supported our customers. Never asked a customer to pay a freight surcharge to mitigate freight, and shipped at the agreed upon price.

CHINESE LUNAR NEW YEARS WARNING

Lunar New Years is one of the biggest annual holidays in China. It is also has the largest annual migration of any group of people in the world (at one time). There are over one billion people, that’s 3 times the entire US population traveling to their home city for this week-long holiday. This year it is officially from February 11 – 17. The actual work holiday to allow for travel is from February 6 through February 26th .

COVID-19 complications could affect your nail deliveries and any other products from China. Workers in some cases travel 1000 miles back to their homes from the factories that they live at or near for most of the year. China has a strict 14-day quarantine period for travel between provinces, and more importantly for when they return.

Some workers have left early to be able to get home and quarantine on time to spend the holiday with their families, and some actually chose to not leave, not wanting to risk exposure during travel or to bring the virus home.

What happens when they return? This is the big unknown. We do know they will have to quarantine if they can find a place, some may not come back. All these uncertainties may lead to plant delays in some cases effecting the smooth reopening with the skilled labor needed.

In a country of almost 1.5 billion people there is a severe shortage of plant labor. It is harder to find workers to do this tough factory work, they have better options in some cases.

Having a nail supplier that is in front of these issues and has on-site staff to monitor this situation is critical during these times.

We welcome your inquires, and look forward to working to supply you quality nails delivered at an agreed upon price and on a timely schedule.
