Continental Materials’ SecureGrip™ Synthetic Roofing Underlayments Approved for Use in Florida – FBC Approval FL18374
Abington, PA (10/15) – Continental Materials, Inc. (CMI) announces that its full line SecureGrip Synthetic Underlayment products are now approved for use in Florida under Florida Building Commission Approval #FL18374 for use as “mechanically attached, woven polypropylene underlayments used as alternatives to ASTM D226, Type I and Type II” roofing felts.
SecureGrip PRO™, SecureGrip25™ SecureGrip PLUS™, and SecureGrip MAX™ products have been tested and evaluated for conformance to AC 188 in accordance with ICC standards and testing formats and ASTM D226 – Standard Specification for Asphalt-Saturated Organic Felt Used in Roofing and Waterproofing. A Code Compliance Research Report, CCRR 1045, had been completed and issued and an Evaluation Report completed and accepted by FBC as proof of meeting the stringent roofing underlayment requirements.
